The Coldest Night of the Year walk is taking place on Saturday night.
Karen Fraser with the Salvation Army says it’s the first year the walk is being held in Powell River.
She says the issue of homelessness is one that’s growing in the community.
The walk starts and finishes at the Salvation Army on Joyce Avenue. Registration opens at 4:00 PM, with the walk beginning at 5:15.
