POWELL RIVER, B.C. – Voters cast their ballots during the advanced voting periods and all throughout the day on Saturday as part of the 2018 municipal election.
Election results have been released for the qathet Regional District.
For the qathet RD Electoral Area A, Patrick Brabazon was elected with 190 total votes. Denise C. Smith receoved 86, while Mark Johnston received 72.
In Electoral Area B, Mark Gisborne was elected with 237 votes. Janet May received 205, and Alan Rebane got 157.
For Area C, Clay Brander was elected with 343 votes, while Connie Keiver received 143 and Robert William Higgin got 49 votes.
Sandy McCormick was elected by acclamation in Electoral Area D.
Andrew Fall was elected in Area E with 233 votes. Merrick Anderson received 28 votes.
Peter Johnson and Tomothy Peterson were elected by acclamation for the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Area.
SCHOOL DISTRICT 47
Results are also out for School District 47.
Russell Brewer, Dale Lawson, Aaron Reid, Doug Skinner, and Jack Timothy were elected.
