Crews respond to fire in Cranberry

Powell River fire crews were called out to a multiple structure fire in Cranberry this weekend.

Fire Chief Terry Peters says the fire appears to have started in an out building on the property. He says it was quite a large fire, but they had a successful outcome. The home was saved and the resident was able to stay in the building for the night.

The occupant was treated for smoke inhalation. Peters says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
