Preparing for the Tour de Coast

The Tour de Coast is  only one week away.

Local rider Melissa DesLauriers says it’s something she’s always wanted to do.

She says that the daughter of a friend of hers passed away at a very young age – which has served as inspiration to be a part of the tour.

DesLauriers says she expects the ride to be a tough journey, both physically and emotionally.

The tour begins a week from today and will be in Powell River next Friday.
