Tour de Coast riders begin their journey today.
Local rider Melissa DesLauriers says she’s expecting the journey to be a tough one, both physically and emotionally. She says as a cancer survivor, the tour will be particularly meaningful.
DesLauriers says she’s wanted to participate in the tour for a long time. She notes that a friend of hers had a child who passed away due to cancer – and participating will be a fitting tribute.
